My name is Carmen. I'm 26. I am interested in fashion, particularly alternative fashion. Right now my focus is on gothic and gothic lolita fashion, but I've also touched upon a variety of other styles. These include cottagecore and vintage styles, styles which use a lot of bright colours, and just regular casual clothing.
I also like to collect things. Right now my main collecting activities are around Kuromi, a Sanrio character that is cheeky but charming. I've made several contributions to the Hello Kitty Wiki under the username Styxal. In the past I have also collected Furbys (from the 90s and early 2000s), plush animals, Vinyl & Fashion dolls, Fabric dolls, and frog themed items. Somewhat less based around beings, is my collection of fortune telling methods and magical items, which I love, but don't spend as much time on as I used to. I have almost created other collections too, but these are my main ones.
Another thing I enjoy is drawing and creating art. I do a lot of sketches. Although I never put enough time in to make any artworks that are especially impressive, I know that I've come a long way over the past few years since I decided to start putting in some time to get better, and I am learning to utilise more of the assistance that digital art tools can give. In the past I have created several pixel animations either for myself or as commissions, many of these have now been lost to time, so I would like to share the ones I have left on this website at some point. I also like a little bit of photography, but I have never spent any time to learn this - I just like taking pictures.
Aside from all of this, I also enjoy watching television shows, and reading comics. I occasionally read an actual book, but not as much as I used to, and I prefer short stories for this since they're easier to complete. My favourite themes are romance, comedy, and media which has great worldbuilding. I am very slowly learning Japanese, with the goal of having access to a larger pool of manga.
