Review of the Vallée Lys Dreams Ladder Lace Blouse

I recently purchased the Vallée Lys Dreams Ladder Lace Blouse from Atelier Pierrot. Vallée Lys is Atelier Pierrot's sub-line, which has a focus on a cute, misty mountains aesthetic, and I have noticed that Vallée Lys seemingly aims to keep the price a little lower than the main Atelier Pierrot releases, and puts more of a focus on comfort.

I purchased this in 4 colourways. Black, Black X White, White, Black x Bordeaux. The colours are all lovely. The white uses a mixture of warm and cool white, this could be a problem if you really like for all of your whites to match perfectly, but if you're hoping to balance a few different white tones throughout a coord, a blouse like this is a good way to do this. The black x white also uses two tones of white on the minimal white details, which will mean it is hopefully not too difficult to match with other black x white pieces. The black x bordeaux uses the lovely pink toned bordeaux that you can see in many other atelier pierrot releases, such as the 2022 coquelicot release or the shirring princess sleeve blouse. The black is just black, although the lace used for the ladder ribbon has a more cottony texture so the colour is slightly different.

I was expecting a more cotton feel fabric, but the fabric is very lightweight and airy, and slightly translucent when held up to the light. I would probably recommend using a light coloured undershirt under the white one.

To be honest, I would say that the fit isn't really as advertised. The listing on the Atelier Pierrot website says that the bust goes up to 103cm, but from wearing it I don't believe that this is the case. Wearing the bra I am wearing today, I have measured my bust to be below the minimum measurements listed for this blouse. However I am still starting to see a little gapping, and can feel some tightness. This is also with the ribbon lacing entirely loosened from the back. Arguably I might want a tiny amount more lift than this bra gives (unfortunately was all I could find this morning), but considering I am below the measurements I wouldn't expect to see any amount of gapping at all, so it is kind of annoying. This is an issue I have experienced with other Atelier Pierrot blouses in the past, and so I thought this might be useful fit knowledge for other people.

Thinking about moving the journal section of my website to Blogger

I've been considering moving the journal section of my website to Blogger. The reason for this is that a lot of the time I am just updating my journal on here, and it is quite time consuming to create pages on here. I'm not sure if I'm really fully utilising the aspects of using a html website for a journal/blog, I generally use quite straightforward pages with just text and images, they aren't very creative, and I end up spending a lot of time doing adjustments for displaying images.

A second reason is that I am worried that perhaps my blog pages don't come across as being as reputable as those on actual blog platforms, which is a little sad because while I haven't been active in the lolita fashion space for as long as many other more influential members of the community, I have spent a lot of time researching and discussing with other members of the lolita fashion community, and I am certain that I have knowledge to share with other people in the space. This is something I've been thinking about for a little while, and I'm not sure yet whether I will go through with moving. But it has been on the edge of my thoughts for a little while.

On the other hand, I have really appreciated the peaceful community here on Neocities, and I'm nervous about the kind of response that I might get on other platforms if I was to move. I also really am enjoying the web 1.0 revival movement, and I like spending time in this space. It's a tough decision either way.
